The WGA is a fun and welcoming collective of golfers. We offer five unique golf leagues that play weekly at the beautiful Wilmette Golf Club course. Our members span all skill levels and handicaps, and we’re a wonderful mix of working moms, grandparents, recent retirees — with plenty of snowbirds, too. The one thing we all have in common: a love for the game of golf!
As a member, you will enjoy:
- Participating in one of the largest women's-only golf league communities in Chicagoland
- Choosing one or more 9-hole or 18-hole league that fits your schedule and level of golf
- Improving your game through free golf clinics, led by our incredible Wilmette Golf Club PGA Pros

The Course
The Wilmette Golf Club is located on the North Shore, about 20 minutes north of downtown Chicago. This 100-year-old public course feels more like a private club than a park district facility, and offers:
- A beautiful and challenging, yet approachable course
- Full driving range and several practice greens
- Carefully maintained bluegrass fairways and bent grass greens
- Continuous cartpaths – golf cart accessible any time
- Women’s course ratings:
- 68.8 and slope of 121 from the green tees
- 67.5 and slope of 118 from the white tees
- PGA professionals, available for instruction
The Clubhouse
The Wilmette Golf Club House is an attractive facility with amenities for all to enjoy, including:
- A friendly, well-stocked pro-shop with discounts for Wilmette Golf Club members
- Modern locker rooms with showers
- The Lawn, a full-service restaurant & bar, open year round
- Spacious covered patio to enjoy your favorite post-game beverage or snack with your fellow golfers
