AWARDS LUNCHEON
Following play on the second day, all participants are invited to a casual, yet celebratory luncheon and award ceremony. Enjoy a box lunch, refreshments, and chance to recognize outstanding play while connecting with fellow WGA members.

ELIGIBILTY
WGA league members who have played 50% of the possible league days for the current season prior to the Championship or 5 league rounds from the previous season are eligible.  Registered names will be submitted to the appropriate league officers for verification of eligibility.  Members who meet the above requirements and play in both a 9-hole and an 18-hole league may choose to compete in either Championship.  All other golfers should choose the Championship that mirrors their league membership.  Eligibility exceptions may be made at the Championship Committee's discretion.

CANCELLATION
If a player must cancel out of the tournament, the Championship chairman must be notified by email no later than July 29. The chairman will acknowledge the cancellation.

HANDICAPS
Handicaps as of July 30 will be used to determine flights so the pairings can be sent out via emails.

AWARDS
First and second place prizes are awarded by flight for low gross and low net scores.  In the event that a player would win both prizes, the low gross award will take priority and the second place low net score will receive the first place low net award.

A low net prize over the field is awarded in both the 9-hole and 18-hole competitions.  The second place low net score in the flights of these prize winners will receive the low net award in that flight.

TIES
In case of a tie for the overall Low Gross (Champion), there will be a sudden death playoff beginning on Hole #1 or a hole designated by the WGC staff.  All others ties will be broken by matching the score cards from the last day according to USGA rules.  (The winner is determined by matching the score for the last nine holes, last six hole, last three holes and finally, the 18th hole.  If there is still a tie, then the last six holes, three holes and final hole of the first nine holes will be considered in turn.)

WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS
You will receive an email on Tuesday morning, shortly after 5:30AM if the course is closed due to weather OR if the course is cart path only due to playing conditions. In either scenario, we will postpone the first day of the Championship and play Round 1 on Thursday August 6th. Round 2 would then be played on Monday August 10th followed by the awards luncheon.

COMMUNICATION
Please contact chairperson with your questions. You will receive an event reminder and any important updates in an email from WGA prior to the day of play. Your official tee time will be assigned by and emailed directly to you by the Wilmette Golf Club.
